Post-correction

Punctuation, casing, obvious slips —fixed before the text lands.

Post-correction cleans up recognition results with a light editorial pass. It never invents facts, and the as-is transcript is always kept as the safe fallback.

Available in beta · quality improving

AIspeaky is currently in beta and free to use within beta limits. We do not read or store the content of what you dictate.

How it works

A light editorial pass — not a rewrite.

Post-correction handles the mechanical parts. Meaning stays yours.

  1. 1

    Punctuation & casing

Sentence boundaries, commas, question marks, and proper capitalization applied to the transcript.

  2. 2

    Obvious recognition slips

Homophones and common misheard words are corrected where context makes the intent unambiguous.

  3. 3

    As-is always available

The original transcript is preserved. Toggle back at any time, or pin as-is mode for specific apps.

In the product

Safety rule: unsafe edits are declined, not guessed.

When cleanup would change meaning — names, numbers, ambiguous phrasing — post-correction backs off and inserts the as-is result.

Safe cleanup
In
"send the report to marta by friday please"
Out
"Send the report to Marta by Friday, please."
Unsafe — kept as-is
In
"call sean about the sixteen ninety invoice or was it sixty-nine"
Out (unchanged)
"call sean about the sixteen ninety invoice or was it sixty-nine"
Number ambiguity detected → as-is inserted.
What's in and what's not

What post-correction does and doesn't do.

The goal is a clean final draft, not a ghost-writer.

Included in beta
  • Casing, sentence boundaries, commas, question marks, quotes
  • Common recognition slips where context is unambiguous
  • Per-app default (as-is vs. cleaned) you can override each session
  • Automatic fallback to as-is when a replacement would be unsafe
Not yet — expanding
  • Style rewriting ("make it more formal") — that's a voice-command job
  • Named-entity correction against your address book
  • Multilingual sentence structure — cleanup is single-language per session
  • Guaranteed perfect grammar — this is a beta cleanup, not proofreading
Questions before install

Answered plainly.

Can I turn post-correction off entirely?

Yes — set the app default to as-is or toggle per session. AIspeaky won't force cleanup on you.

Does it call an LLM?

Cleanup uses managed models for the beta. See the data-flow table on the security page for what leaves the device and why.

What about non-English text?

Post-correction is currently tuned for English; other languages fall back to as-is until we validate the cleanup quality.
